My mother has blossomed since she moved into the Albemarle. The staff is so friendly and attentive. She is enjoying her new friends and all of the activities.
The Fountains at The Albemarle is an exceptional facility. I took a family member there to visit one of her friends, and was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to offer assistance to us, even after being informed of the fact that my family member did not reside there. Her friend had a private one bedroom apartment, but two bedrooms were also available. She had all of the basics in her apartment, but they were all of high quality. They had a large closet in the apartment. One of the staff members took us on a tour of the facility and showed us the many features their facility had to offer. The gardens were beautiful and a lot of residents were gathered up outside. There is an onsite chapel, beauty salon, barber shop, fitness room, dining room, and many other wonderful amenities. My family member is looking for a new facility and would love to move there if it was closer to the town she lives in.
I am in love with facility. They simply provide exceptional care to the residents while allowing them to live independent lives. The staff is exceptional and provide the best care in Eastern North Carolina. The Nursing Staff gives priority to making sure every resident is provided with individual personal care. I once saw a nurse bring a resident a home cooked meal that she had made herself. All that just to lift the residents spirits! The atmosphere at this facility is calm and just a joy to be in.
I moved to The Fountains of The Albemarle last October 29th and I think it is a very nice place to live. The activity directors, Tina Brown and Kristen Jones offer numerous activities to keep you busy and let you interact with others. The staff is friendly, nice, and efficient, and go out of their way to meet your every need and help you feel at home. The Albemarle community is run by Teri Horton, who is always on top of things. If I had to use words or phrases to describe The Albemarle Community, they would be: safe, nice, pleasant, clean, beautifully decorated, understanding & helpful staff, variety of delicious food, well maintained, friendly, creative and Christian based. It feels more and more like home everyday. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about other living options. You can even have pets. What a bonus!!!
My mother, Clara Dail! Was a resident at the Fountains for two years, progressively moving from “the good life” to “skilled nursing”. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there! Mother enjoyed every day there! They always had so many activities for the residents which included crafts, field trips, music programs, bus rides, and particularly Bingo! The staff willingly showed love and caring for Mother and all the residents. Mother is no longer with us, but I would not hesitate to recommend The Fountains to anyone looking to relocate to a new home where they can remain until God calls them home.
I would highly recommend the Fountains to anyone looking for a senior living situation. My sister and I searched and visited several local facilities and none compared. The staff are all friendly and warm. They truly care about the well being of the residents and do all they can to make them feel welcome. This week, after a hurricane caused flooding, they had to evacuate residents. They had a clear, organized plan for all the levels of needs of the residents and kept them as comfortable as possible for the 5 days they spent in a shelter. Though my parents stayed with me during this time, I was kept informed of the status and told when it was safe for them to return. The staff was at the door welcoming them home. My parents have lived here for one month and were truly glad to go HOME. That says it all.
Both the Independent Living and the Skilled Nursing areas are great! The dining areas are nice and the staff in both sections are so nice! The fact that we were able to find a place that offers Independent Living and Skilled Nursing under the same roof AND closer to home was so great! The Independent Living is an apartment, too, and not just a room. Both of my loved ones feel so fortunate to be here together!
My mother in law seems to enjoy living at The fountains. The entire staff are friendly and we have good communication. She loves the food and they offer a lot of activities. They even went on a boat to watch the eclipse. The community is very clean and this is one of the things we liked most about the community. I would recommend this community.
